Your Festival Committee

    The Leaf River Summer Daze Festival Committee is a group of Community minded people that give unselfishly of their time to attend and plan activities for the festival each year.  There is no invitation, no restrictions, anyone living in the Leaf River Community is encouraged to come and participate.

    Each year it gets harder to bring new ideas into the Festival and determine what the local people really want to see.  We operate on a very limited budget so we have to be very cost conscious when planning our event.  If it were not for a local business, being very community minded, our Festival would be far less than what it is today.

    Regretfully the Committee lost two hard working volunteers this last year.  Betty Croft decided to slow things down in her life and removed herself from the committee and Leonard Wagner passed away and will be greatly missed for his volunteer efforts.

    There are some individuals that come each month that give of their time and talents continually to benefit the community.  Some organizations, not mentioned here, come only on occasion, which is good, but preferred to have organizations represented on a regular basis.

    The Festival Committee meets on the Third Monday of January, February, March, April, May, and if needed once more before the June Festival.  We meet again in July to review the Festival just completed to cover highlights as well as problems.  We again meet in November just to review next years schedule and elect officers.  The officers of the Festival Committee consist of:
